Like all processes, the
processes of quality and business improvement are optimized by periodic
measurement, analysis, and adjustment. Several assessment types
are described below, which can be combined into larger assessments
that leverage common elements to reduce costs and maximize the knowledge

ensure individual project work supports the solution of complex
problems. They measure the structure, execution and results of
improvement projects, identifying gaps in the analysis of problems
that lead to sub-optimal solutions.
- Milestone Assessments
examine changes in attitudes and performance levels over time
and at specific points in the quality process. They measure changes
in key processes that lead to changes in key quality metrics.
